POP WARNER LOCAL GRANTS:

Pop Warner and its sponsors are proud to provide local Pop Warner Associations with the opportunity to receive equipment and funds through the Pop Warner Equipment & Apparel Grant Program.

These grant programs are offered at the national level and are, by no means, the only sources of grants for Pop Warner Associations. We encourage our leagues, associations and teams to seek partnerships and sponsorships with local businesses and to apply for any eligible grants.

By taking advantage of grant programs at both the national and local levels, your organization can continue to provide Pop Warner scholar-athletes and volunteers with worthwhile programs in addition to combating the rising costs of running a successful Pop Warner organization.

2010 Pop Warner Equipment & Apparel Grant Program:

Many of our sponsors support local teams and squads by donating proceeds to help organizations travel to Walt Disney World, as well as provide equipment and apparel grants for Pop Warner members. You are helping to contribute to such programs by patronizing the following organizations: Spalding, Bike, Russell Athletic and Schutt.

*Applicants must fill out the Equipment Information sheet along with the Bike/Spalding order sheet, the Russell uniform order sheet and/or the Schutt helmet order sheet. Order sheets that are not submitted with the Equipment Information sheet will NOT be considered.

Deadline for 2010 Equipment & Apparel Grants was Friday, April 30, 2010 by 5 p.m. EST.

2010 Pop Warner/Team Cheer Uniform Grant Program:

Pop Warner, in conjunction with Team Cheer, is proud to announce the 2009 Cheer Uniform grant program. Pop Warner Associations can apply for and receive a $500 voucher for official Team Cheer uniforms. Please note that the voucher covers uniforms only and DOES NOT cover sneakers and/or other apparel.

PLEASE NOTE: This year, we are accepting electronic submissions as well as paper applications for the 2010 Pop Warner/Team Cheer Uniform GrantPlease choose only ONE method of submission – either e-mail or mail. We will not review applications that are submitted via multiple methods. You must provide a physical mailing address and NOT a P.O. Box – applications containing a P.O. Box will be disqualified.

2010 Team Cheer Grant Deadline was Friday, April 30, 2010 by 5 p.m. EST.

2009 NFL Grassroots Program:

The NFL Youth Football Fund Grassroots Program is a partnership of the National Football League Youth Football Fund (NFL YFF) and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) to provide non-profit, neighborhood-based organizations, middle schools and high schools with financing and technical assistance to improve the quality, safety, and accessibility of local football fields.

Parks and ball fields can serve as tremendous community assets because they offer opportunities for recreation, education, and relaxation that contribute to the local quality of life, especially for young people.  In eight years of programming, the Fields Program has awarded $25 million in grants for 200 projects with total development costs of $90 million in over 50 cities across the country. Grants are announced and awarded annually in the early winter.

2009 NCAA Football/Russell Athletic Replica Uniform Grant:

For the second straight year, NCAA Football, in partnership with Russell Athletic, is offering its Replica Uniform Grant Program to all Pop Warner Teams.

NCAA Football offers youth football leagues and teams throughout the nation an opportunity to apply for and receive grants to acquire NCAA Football replica youth jerseys and pants through Russell Athletic's youth football line. Teams applying to receive grants will also be considered to receive footballs from Wilson, the official ball provider of NCAA Football.

Pop Warner National Championship Travel Grants:

For the second consecutive year, Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc., is pleased to announce it is able to offer Pop Warner Travel Grants for ELIGIBLE POP WARNER FOOTBALL TEAMS AND CHEER/DANCE SQUADS that have qualified for the Pop Warner Super Bowl or National Cheer and Dance Championships. All Pop Warner football teams and spirit squads that make it to the Pop Warner National Championships may apply for these travel grants to help offset travel/hotel accommodation costs.

Deadline was Monday, November 23, 2009, 5 PM EST.
