For the 6th consecutive season, Pop Warner programs nationwide will be required to annually conduct a background check of: Coaches, Board of Directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players and/or spirit participants. The purpose of these background checks is, first and foremost, to protect the children.
Background Check Affidavits:
The required
affidavits corresponding to the background check investigations are
now available for download (See Below). Please be advised that one affidavit
should be filled out for each association and/or league member that
is performing the background checks. Hard copies of the signed and
dated affidavits performed at the association level should be
forwarded to the appropriate league, and each league shall then
forward all league and association affidavits directly to the
National Office.
